Searching LIFE in the Universe makes a stop in Villanueva de la Serena on 25-11-2014

Astrobiology workshops have been held at the Casa de la Cultura on 25 and 26 November.

The Astrobiology Center laboratory truck (CAB, CSIC- INTA) was installed in the center of Villanueva de la Serena to become the link between the city and Astrobiology. Through simple experiments (extraction of DNA from a tomato, simulation of impact craters and cryomagmatism) CAB scientists have explained to local high school students how LIFE is studied and how it is looked for outside the Earth through space exploration.

This educational project has been developed by the Scientific Culture Unit of the CAB and participates in the Science City program organized by the CSIC and sponsored by the La Caixa Foundation.
