With an article on exoplanets they have reached the Madri + d Prize for Scientific Communication.

An article on the advances of science in the exoplanetary field, written by Jorge Lillo and David Barrado, researchers from the Department of Astrophysics of the Centro de Astrobiología (CAB, CSIC-INTA), has been awarded the Madri + d Award for Scientific Communication. The article, entitled " The exoplanetary epic: giant planets, rocky planets ", is an analysis of what is known in this field of the planets orbiting other stars.

The Jury has considered that this analysis treats with originality and dexterity a topic of interest and scientific actuality contextualized with the history of physics. It raises the vertiginous advances of the investigation in the exoplanetario field in the last years and it accompanies it with expressive and beautiful images. Its writing is clear, precise and suggestive, using an informative language that allows reaching a wide and diverse audience.

The authors wonder what the following achievements of science in the exoplanetary field will be, to end up suggesting that "... the planets of the Solar System are not alone and, perhaps, the discovery of a twin of the Earth, in terms of conditions and habitability, is not so far away". This Prize is endowed with 3,000 euros, including taxes.
